Punjab Food Authority seals restaurants for unhygienic conditions

Lahore: Punjab Food Authority has sealed number of  restaurants for unhygienic conditions.

Data ganj baksh town team imposed heavy fine to Lahore cafeteria located on 23 Mall road lhr due to no hand sanitizer for workers hand washing dirty floor and washing area in kitchen improper storage of raw chicken and raw and cooked food store together improperly nails of worker were not clean and left over food was also present in freezers.

Data ganj baksh town team sealed Fri-chicks sanda road near Mao college due to unhygienic conditions dirty freezer no soap for utensils washing and dirty washing area. Oil being used for frying was also rancid. Sample taken for lab analysis.

Shalimar Town sealed Hello food products tahkhana stop jani pura due to unhygienic condition, misbranded, mislabeled products , usage of rancid oil and loose oil, no food license and medical., FIR launched 3 persons arrested.

Gulberg Team sealed Zakir Tikka Moon Market Faisal Town due to poor premises and personal hygiene, dirty freezer.

Big man sweets n bakers chapar stop main multan road sealed by samanabad town for poor hygienic conditions.Shalimar Town ,Heavy fine imposed on gourmet branch due to unhygienic conditions.

Allama Iqbal town team imposed heavy fine to “Foodies Restaurant” johar town due to unmanaged dirty freezers, dirty equipments, poor hygiene.

On public complaint data ganj baksh town team visited services hospital canteen and seized whole stock of mislabelled De fruit juices nectar and drinks no address was given on the juices. Samples also sent to lab for further analysis.

Ayesha Mumtaz Director Operations sealed Nadeem tikka restaurant Gurumangat road Gulberg 3 has been due to extremely spoiled meat with off odour and fungal growth in cold storage. Dirty freezers with highly spoiled left over food. Very poor personnel and premises hygiene. Poor sanitary conditions. Dirty and greasy floors. Very poor washing area.
