Lahore: Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera reached district Muzaffargarh, today in wake of visits of flood effected areas of the province. During these tours the committee members will monitor the relief operation for the flood effectees, besides, review the crime situation and maintenance of law and order in these areas.
IGP Punjab also hold a meeting in the office of DPO Muzaffargarh, Awais Ahmad in which RPO D.G Khan and all senior officers of Muzaffargarh were also present.
On this occasion IGP was told that Muzaffargarh Police officials evaquated 1200 flood victims of 200 houses from the area of Rang Pur and Ali Pur. He was also told that for the prupose 100 Motor boats were used among which 10 Motor boats of Muzaffargarh Police were included. All officials of Riverine Posts were also on board in relief operation.
During the meeting IGP told the officers that the flood is the natural calamity and we should help the flood effectees in evaquation as well as transportation of their cattle, belongings and valuables. He directed the officers to be more watchfull and vigilant in these effected areas and arrange regular patrolling and monitoring of the activities of criminal elements so that the effectees can move safe places without any fear.
On this occasion DPO Muzaffargarh and all officers briefed the IGP about the crime situation in their respective circles.
