Lahore: Chief Security Advisor of United Nations in Pakistan Parakrama Siriwardana met Provincial Home Minister Col. (Retd.) Shuja Khanzada in his office. Security affairs and matters of mutual interest were discussed in the meeting. Provincial Minister briefed Parakrama Siriwardana regarding the steps taken in the province under National Action Plan against terrorism.
UN Chief Security Advisor Parakrama, who is a Sri Lankan, while commenting on cricket said that Sri Lanka wants to play cricket in Pakistan and Sri Lankan cricket team will soon visit the country. He said that despite attack on Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore, the people of Sri Lanka have a good opinion about Pakistan. He said that Sri Lankan cricket team will definitely play cricket in Pakistan.
Provincial Minister told Chief Security Advisor of UN in Pakistan that Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has quoted several times the progress made by Sri Lanka. He said that implementation of National Action Plan is continuing and law and order situation is speedily improving.
