A retired couple found dead in their house in Garden Town

Lahore: An old life partners have been found dead in their house situated at 4 B Sher Shah Block Garden Town,Lahore.Dr Javaid Zaidi and his wife Kosar’s bodies were sent to city morgue for autopsy.

According to the police at around 3-40 AM  police emergency was informed about unbearable smell from a house. Police reached the spot and recovered two putrefied bodies of a couple having marks on torture.The late Dr Javaid Zaidi was a retired Railways officer who had worked as MS Railways Hospital Keran Hospital,Lahore.

They have left behind a son Hassan Belal Zaidi a senior journalist among the mourners .

Police said that the door of the house was locked and Dr Javaid Zaidi’s body was found in his bedroom, while Mrs Kausar’s body was found in the basement. A relative claimed that she had contacted the couple a day earlier.

According to police officials, the couple were killed with a sharp-edged weapon, and the condition of the bodies shown that the murders took place at least two days ago.The car was also missing, reported sources.

Police have started investigations and are looking for forensic evidence in the house.
