Lahore: The newly promoted DSPs have proved themselves that they are equally professional, hardworker and fit for promotion by discharging their new responsibilities more devotedly, diligently and professionally and defused this impression that they are corrupt and incapable.
This was stated by Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera, while addressing recently promoted DSP rank officers at Central Police Office, Lahore.
Addl. IGP, Establishment Punjab, Naseem-uz-Zaman, DIG Establishment -I, Azhar Hameed Khokhar, DIG Headquarters, Farooq Mazhar, AIG Discipline, Dr. Inam Waheed and PSO to IGP Shahzad Asif were also present on this occasion.
IGP told the officers that all 64 promotions among 145 were made on 100% merit by observing and evaluating the performance of these officers. He also told that while issuing their posting orders same policy was adopted and no favor was accepted during the process.
Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera directed the newly promoted officers to restore the grace of the uniform and it could be only possible by dint of their conduct. He said that they should regularly monitored the police stations in their respective circles and tried to discourage the lodging of fake FIRs, arrest of innocent people, particularly in cases of murder the arrests must be made on solid proofs and evidences.
He stressed upon the officers that they should not protect the corrupt and inefficient subordinates. They should also encourage the professional and dedicated subordinates. He also directed the officers that they should not accept any pressure in the course of justice. He also instructed them that the last Ashra of Ramzan-ul-Mubarik is approaching very fastly so they should prepare themselves and arranged foolproof security measures in mosques specially Imam Bargahs, Churches and other holy places of minorities.
