Lahore: Punjab government has promoted comfortable journey by starting metro bus projects and also bridged the gap between rich and poor. Orange line train will further provide comforts to common man.
The projects like Multan Metro Project, Saaf Pani Project, farm to market roads and Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park will change the destiny of the people of South Punjab. On the direction of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, a number of projects has been started in South Punjab for raising the socio-economic standard of the people of less developed districts of South Punjab which included the biggest solar project at Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park Bahawalpur.
These views were expressed by Members Provincial Assembly during general discussion on the budget. Assembly members included Chaudhry Ali Asghar Manda, Mian Marghoob Ahmed, Shaukat Ali Lalika, Muhammad Asif Bajwa, Syeda Uzma Qadri, Nighat Sheikh, Sheikh Allauddin and Haji Imran Zafar.
They said that Punjab Chief Minister has prove of being education friendly by allocating 27 percent of the total budget for education which comes to 310 billion and 20 crore rupees. Out of development of Education Department, computer labs will be installed in 990 high schools, missing facilities provided in 7550 schools, buildings of 4700 schools reconstructed and 500 new schools opened.
Assembly members said that Chief Minister has accelerated the efforts for overcoming energy crisis by allocating maximum funds for early completion of energy projects. They said that construction of farm to market roads with 150 billion rupees which is the biggest project of history of Pakistan will bring an agri revolution. They said that the financial proposals in the budget for bringing change in thana culture will yield positive results.
