Lahore: Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has devised a strategy to provide clean drinking water to 75 Cholistan community schools in Bahawalpur division. This strategy has been devised in collaboration with Cholistan Development Authority (CDA) to ensure continued provision of potable water to seven thousand students and their teachers in these schools.
MD PEF Dr. Aneela Salman stated this while presiding over a function held at a local auditorium to distribute water coolers to teachers of community schools today. She said that PEF is working very proactively to help provide quality education to the students who mostly are females, adding that our interventions are very much encouraging girls-education in such remote areas. We are committed to make ‘Cholistan Schooling Project’ a real ‘success story’ for the whole nation, she maintained.
Education is our strongest commitment and no child will be left unattended as there will be a PEF partner school around. PEF is not only providing education but we are also helping to improve the overall educational standards through different interventions.
PEF’s annually held quality assurance tests are very much helpful to determine the academic standards of these schools. Our continued support will help our students to shine like flowers in these arid areas.
MD PEF impressed upon the corporate sector to proficiently use their corporate social responsibility principles for the promotion of education in the deserving segments so that every child could access the fundamental right of education.
