Politicians should stop mudslinging on one another : Liaqat Baloch

JI worker convention at Laal Pul,Mughal PuraLahore: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has urged the political leaders not to indulge in mudslinging on one another by issuing irresponsible statements. He was addressing JI workers convention in the city on Sunday.

Liaqat Baloch said that MQM chief Altaf Husain was practically going out of politics because of his statements. In fact, he said, the MQM leader was mentally worried because of the cases of money laundering and Imran Farooq’s murder.

The JI central leader counseled Indian Premier and his cabinet ministers to see reason and avoid issuing harsh statements against this country, and added that the Pakistani nation stood shoulder to shoulder with their security institutions against New Delhi’s designs.

He termed the Federal budget as also the budgets of the Punjab and Sindh as routine budgets and mere jugglery of words and added that there was no relief or welfare plans for the masses. He said that price hike, unemployment and lawlessness had made the life of the masses miserable. He said the kisans, government employees and industrial workers had been disappointed by these budgets and their criticism was justified.

Commenting on the reports of rigging in Khyber P local bodies elections, he said re-election should be held in the constituencies where there had been any irregularities and a judicial commission should be set up to probe into these election irregularities.
