Silence of PM over Indian threats is regrettable: Ch Shujat Hussain

Photo CSH 01 {June11-15}Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Ch Shujat Hussain has said that realistic attitude should be adopted about the Burmese Muslims, attitude of political leadership disappointed over Indian threats and statements against security whereas declaration of the military is the voice of the nation.

He said while addressing a media conference after meeting with a delegation headed by Global Rohingya Centre President Shaikh Abdullah Ma’aroof at his residence in Islamabad today. Delegation members Tayyab Al-Gemal and Naeem Al-Saad and party Secretary General Mushahid Hussain Sayed were also present.

Ch Shujat Hussain said that effected Rohingian Muslims of Burma were neither on land nor on sly, thousands of Muslims were in open sea awaiting help and assistance of Muslim Ummah, announcement of lakhs of dollars assistance cannot give them relief from their sorrows, they should be given land to put their feet on only after that some assistance can be helpful to them, then Muslim Ummah will also be able to extend practical help which would also be useful for them. He said earlier on, Pakistan had also helped 30 lakhs Afghan refugees, humanity friendship also demanded that such manner for help and assistance be adopted which is effective in real sense.

Strongly condemning the statement of the Indian leadership against security of Pakistan, Ch Shujat Hussain said this is a matter of great concern and regret that political leadership of Pakistan has not responded in effective manner to India’s enmity of Pakistan, silence of the prime minister in this regard is also meaningful and regrettable, why those playing on democracy hype are silent today.

He said that military leadership by giving befitting response to political leadership has proved that in the presence of the armed forces of Pakistan none could dare to cast evil eye on Pakistan, the nation has been disappointed by the attitude of political leadership whereas military leadership by adopting stance in accordance with expectations of the people has truly represented sentiments of the nation.

Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed also reiterated the promise in response to a question that in order to apprise the journalists of Pakistan with the miserable living conditions of Rohingian Muslims, a journalistic trip will be arranged.

GRC President Shaikh Abdullah Ma’aroof expressed gratitude to the top PML leadership for extending practical cooperation and expressed his best wishes for the people of Pakistan.
