Lahore: Member National Assembly Hamza Shahbaz while addressing the function held on the occasion of balloting of 6368 vehicles in the second phase of self-employment scheme said that the government is committed to transform the country in accordance with the ideals of Quaid-e-Azam and resolve problems of the people. He said that present government has started second phase of distribution of 50 thousand vehicles among youth on merit under a transparent system and vehicles have been distributed on the prices less than the market without any favour throughout the province.
Hamza Shahbaz said that country was facing biggest challenge of terrorism and political leadership, Pak army, civil society and people have solved it to a large extent through determination and defeated those enemies who wanted to divide Pakistan. He said that we cannot bring prosperity in the country without hundred percent controlling of terrorism. He said that present government is working in the right direction speedily.
Hamza Shahbaz said that work is continuing on a number of projects for overcoming shortage of electricity and after solar project in Bahawalpur and coal based power projects in Sahiwal, federal and Punjab government will soon start on the projects of 3600 megawatt through LNG. He disclosed that funds have also been allocated for the pending 950 megawatt Nelum Jhelum project.
Hamza Shahbaz said that work has been started through international bidding for providing potable water to the villages and cities and its first project will be inaugurated in Bahawalpur in a week and clean drinking water will be available to crores of people in 36 districts of the province by 2017.
Hamza Shahbaz said that people of Pakistan are conscious and will not cost vote to those politicians in next general election who do lip service but will express their confidence in the leadership serving to the massing and resolving their problem. He expressed the hope that democracy, democratic institutions and the country will further strengthen in the coming days.
Hamza Shahbaz balloted through computer on this occasion and pressed the button by asking different nine numbers from the audience and after that the names of 6368 men and women started appearing at the screen. Hamza Shahbaz also talked to two applicants Malik Wasim from Rawalpindi and Muhammad Bilal from Gujranwala on telephone and congratulated them on obtaining vehicles.
Talking to media on the occasion, Hamza Shahbaz said that the entire nation is worried about exact scandal and fake degrees business is the matter of concern for us all. He said that all elements involved in this business should be held accountable and made example so that no one should dare to do such business in future.
Replying to a question about budget, Hamza Shahbaz said that energy projects will be given top priority in next budget and one billion rupees are being allocated in endowment fund for talented youth which will be spent for polishing their abilities.
Hamza Shahbaz termed the arrival of Zimbabwean Cricket Team is a good omen. He said that due to government steps relief was provided to common man and we will eliminate loadshedding before 2018. He said that investment of 46 billion dollars by China is a big breakthrough whereas government has started work on motorway from Karachi to Lahore.
Chairman Bank of Punjab Naeem ud Din Khan told that the recovery rate in this scheme is 99.8 percent which is itself a record. He said that this scheme is totally transparent and we will achieve the target of 50 thousand vehicles.
Chairman of the scheme Allau ud Din Sheikh said that this scheme is a clear proof of the excellent vision of Shahbaz Sharif due to which youth will be able to stand on their own feet. Parliamentary secretary Rana Muhammad Arshad and Nawaz Chauhan were also present on the occasion.
