Lahore: The Security Control Room at Nishtar Park Sports Complex, on Monday, has been made operational for the key cricket series against Zimbabwe.
Director General Sports Punjab Usman Anwar, while briefing the media said our security Control Room has world’s latest software system. “The same security system has already been tested in the Soccer World Cup 2014. Now we can identify any individual who is moving in any part of Nishtar Park Sports Complex through face capturing system. This system has also the ability to capture the number of any vehicle moving in the surroundings of Nishtar Park Sports Complex,” he elaborated.
About the CCTV cameras, DG SBP said that as many as 79 CCTV security cameras have been installed at all the entry points of the Nishtar Park Sports Complex. “Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also installed 25 cameras. In this way, now there are over 100 cameras to check all the movements in and around the Nishtar Park Sports Complex,” he added.
He informed the CCTV security cameras are being monitored and controlled in a Control Room established in the SBP office. “Now our Control Room team can keep an eye on the movements of commuters and even security guards and other staff to check whether they are performing their duties properly or not,” he stressed.
