Lahore: Advisor to CM Balochistan on Education Sardar Muhammad Raza Khan Barreach has lauded PU VC Dr Mujahid Kamran for providing free education and residential facilities and monthly scholarship to Baloch students. He said that because of PU VC’s revolutionary steps, Balochistani students had found an exceptional opportunity to get quality education at higher level in Pakistan’s most prestigious Alma mater.
He was talking to a delegation of Baloch students during his visit to Punjab University at committee room of Vice Chancellor’s office. PHEC Chairman Prof Dr Nizam uddin, PU VC Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran, Parliamentary Secretary Higher Education Punjab Mehwish Sultan, Senior Analyst Chaudhry Akram, Secretary Education Department Balochistan Abdul Saboor Kakar, PU Acting Treasurer Rao Muhammad Sharif and Balochi students were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the meeting, Sardar Raza Khan said that hundreds of thousands of children were deprived of education in Balochistan and the government wanted to get benefit from Punjab’s model for introducing educational reforms in the province. He thanked Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif for facilitating Balochistani students in Punjab.
PU VC Dr Mujahid Kamran said that Balochistani students were full of talent. Balochistani students informed the advisor to CM Balochistan that the facilities being provided to them by PU administration were not being provided by any other university in Pakistan.
They said that the Balochistani students who had completed their education from PU had got jobs in their province on their return. Later, PU VC Dr Mujahid Kamran presented souvenir to the delegates.
