JI chief condemns Karachi terrorism

JI chief condemns Karachi terrorismLahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has strongly condemned the brutal murder of 45 passengers in firing at a bus in Karachi and termed it as worst incident of terrorism.

The JI chief, who was in the port city on Wednesday, reached the spot of the tragedy and took a view of the ill-fated bus. Later, while talking to the media, he said that the government had completely failed in its responsibility to protect the life, property and honour of citizens.

Sirajul Haq said that large scale appointments in the Sindh police had been made on political basis in total disregard to merit due to which even police officers were not secure. He said the murder of such a large number of innocent citizens was a big tragedy. He demanded cleansing of the Sindh police and other departments of ghost employees.

The JI chief pointed out that the security institutions had repeatedly produced evidence of RAW’s involvement in terrorism but the government had not lodged any protest with New Delhi nor any appeal had been made to the world community against India’s hand in terrorism and subversive  activities in this country.

Sirajul Haq said that Karachi was the life line of the country’s economy and the government should not delay action against terrorists or inimical elements due to any expediency.

Meanwhile, JI deputy chiefs Asadullah Bhutto, Rashid Nasim, Hafiz Muhammad Idrees and Mian Muhammad Aslam and JI Secretary General Liaqat Baloch, have condemned the  killing of the members of the Ismaili community in the firing incident. They said the tragedy was the result of the leniency being shown by the government in dealing with the RAW agents.

The JI leaders expressed full sympathies with the bereaved families.
