Mayor Quetta Corporation Dr. Kalim Ullah calls on Hamza Shahbaz

MNA Hamza ShahbazLahore: Central Leader of PML(N) Hamza Shahbaz Sharif, MNA, has said that like an elder brother, Punjab is extending all possible assistance to other provinces. He said that Punjab has become role model for other provinces in development. He said that PML(N) government is endeavoring to provide fruit of development equally to the people of entire country.

He expressed these views while talking to a delegation comprising Mayor Quetta Dr. Kalim Ullah, Deputy Mayor Quetta Muhammad Younis Baloch and other office-bearers of Quetta Corporation at his Model Town office, today.

Hamza Shahbaz said that Punjab government has already started construction of a splendid hospital for the people of Baluchistan and is ready to provide all kind of assistance for resolving the problems of residents of Quetta city. He said that the Quetta corporation officials can benefit from our experiences for achieving professional expertise and technical assistant for resolving solid waste management and other urban problems of Quetta city. Hamza Shahbaz said that we have started potable water project costing 12 billion rupees for three crore and 50 thousand people in tehsils and far-flung areas of Punjab and Punjab government will also give a gift of installing such filtration plant to the people of Quetta. He also assured all kind of cooperation for the development of Quetta city.

Mayor Quetta Corporation Dr. Kalim Ullah told Hamza Shahbaz Sharif that his delegation studied the model of Lahore city in connection with construction of roads, bridges, slaughterhouse, street lights and solid waste management in Quetta city and held meetings with the concerned officials. The Mayor said that he is desirous of making Quetta a developed and modern city by replicating development model of Lahore city and will evolve a comprehensive strategy for this purpose. Dr. Kalim Ullah said that he wants to set up solar energy project in Quetta city. He said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has announced a relief package of five billion rupees for Quetta while Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif a grant of eight crore rupees through which all development projects will be completed.

Hamza Shahbaz assured the delegation that like an elder brother Punjab will always extend cooperation for resolving problems of Quetta city. He said that Punjab government through its national policies and steps is struggling for creating unity, solidarity and brotherhood among the people of Pakistan and making it a country of Quaid and Iqbal in the real sense.
