A delegation of Sports Journalists Federation Bahrain visits SBP office

A delegation of Sports Journalists Federation Bahrain visits SBP officeLahore: Director General Sports Punjab, Usman Anwar on Thursday has said that being Muslim country Pakistan had close relations with Bahrain. He expressed his desire to have more advanced sporting relation with Bahrain.

He said this while talking to visiting Sports Journalists Federation’s (SJF) delegation of Bahrain. The Bahraini delegation was comprised of Muhammad Qasim (president), Aqeel Khan, Ahmad Hassan, Abdur Rasool, Fawaz Saleh, Muhammad Hussan and Essa Muhammad.

DG Sports Usman Anwar informed the delegation that the sports have been given priority during the last three years in Punjab and the provincial government was more focused on the betterment of the games in the region.

He termed the Youth Sports Festival the biggest in the world as it produced the batch of young talented sports persons. “Punjab International Sports Festival (PISF) would get underway from May 20 in which teams from dozens of countries would participate. All facilities would be provided to the sportsmen of participating countries in the International Sports Festival”. DG SBP offered SJF to play flood light matches with Pakistan sports journalists and SBP would sponsor the game.

SJF delegation’s chief Muhammad Qasim said his friends had threatened him when he departed for Pakistan. “I found nothing wrong here. The security situation is satisfactory”, he added. Qasim expressed his amaze at the formation of largest human flag by highly passionate Pakistan youth.
