APCNGA APCNGA) on Tuesday criticises government for not paying any heed to the sinking CNG sector

Capt. (Retd) Raja Shuja AnwarLahore: The All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) on Tuesday criticised government for not paying any heed to the sinking CNG sector providing jobs to thousands of people.

Investment to the tune of Rs 300 billion in Punjab CNG sector is under serious threat while the authorities prefer to remain unresponsive which is violation of our basic human rights and beyond understanding, said Central Chairman of APCNGA Captain Shuja.

In a statement issued here today, he said that government has been exploiting masses and CNG operators to please some blue eyed by providing them cheap gas earmarked for the CNG sector.

Government is pleasing influential sectors at the cost of CNG industry, adding that the situation warrants action which has been put on the backburner since long adding to plight of CNG community.

CNG sector pay highest tariff and highest taxes but it is subjected to injustices with a goal to eliminate the sector which will not be allowed, he said.

He said that its sixth straight month that CNG stations are kept closed across Punjab which is unprecedented.

Captain Shuja said that gas thieves are bring protected and promoted systematically while we are deprived to our basic rights.

“We have nothing to pay to anyone to get our rights,” he said adding that those who are bent on frustrating import of LNG to please their masters are doing great disservice to the country and nation.
