Lahore: An emergent meeting of PMA office bearers was held at PMA House Lahore today with President (elect) PMA Centre Prof. Dr. Ashraf Nizami in Chair.
Health department Punjab was condemned in a resolution on deviation from a agreement with doctors organizations by granting illegal promotions to junior doctors of general cadre doctors. It was observed that health department seems to be a spectacular failure on every front due to its defective and wrong policies.
Office bearers observed that department has learnt nothing from its past failed decisions & has provided a field to litigations. Situation results in two options for doctors i.e. leave the department or enter in litigation. The situation is unacceptable.
PMA has demanded Chief Minister Punjab and Chief Secretary Punjab to take notice of situation and declare all illegal decisions of health department null & void.
