Applications of overseas Pakistanis will be received at district level : Afzaal Bhatti

Commissioner OverseasLahore: Commissioner Overseas Commission Punjab, Afzaal Bhatti said that applications of overseas Pakistanis received at district level should be immediately attached to web portal. He said that Chairperson Log In of overseas committees of all districts has been sent to DCOs of concerned districts.

He expressed these views at a joint meeting of members of district overseas committees of all the districts, public representatives, DCOs and DPOs of Multan Division. Members Provincial Assembly Malik Muhammad Ali Khokhar, Rana Babar Hussain, Muhammad Zubair Baloch, DG Overseas Pakistanis Commission Kh. Dawood, Director Police Capt. (R) Syed Mobeen, Commissioner Multan Division Capt. (R) Asad Ullah Khan, DCO Multan Zahid Saleem Gondal, DCO Khanewal Khalid Mehmood Sheikh, DCO Vehari Nasir Jamal Hotiana, RPO Multan Amjad Javed Saleemi, CPO Multan Ch. Saleem, DPO Khanewal Jehanzaib Nazir Khan and DPO Lodharan Gohar Mushtaq Bhutta were also present on the occasion.

Addressing on the occasion, Afzaal Bhatti said that the details of meetings of overseas committees held at district level should be sent to Overseas Commission Punjab through internet and the complaints received at district level should be sent to Overseas Commission Punjab Lahore within 24 hours. He issued directions to DCOs to set up offices for chairmen overseas committees at their offices and appoint a 17 grade officer as focal person besides overseas complaint cell should also be set up at each DCO office.

DG Overseas Commission Punjab told the participants that more than 300 complaints have been registered by overseas Pakistanis from all over the world, out of which 120 have been resolved and complainants were informed. He told that overseas Pakistanis can register their complaints at complaint portal of OPF (www.ospc.punjab.gov.pk), phone number 042-99202299 and fax number 042-99202255 round the clock. Afzaal Bhatti informed that no delaying tactics will be tolerated for the resolution of complaints of overseas Pakistanis received at district level and strict action will be taken against the officers and the officials using delaying tactics. He issued directions to ensure presence of all members in the meeting of district overseas committees and the meeting of the committee should be held twice a month.
