Land acquisition issue for Nawaz Sharif University could not be resolved

Malik Nadeem KamranLahore: Provincial Minister for Zakat & Ushr Malik Nadeem Kamran has directed Secretary Agriculture, Commissioner and District Coordination Officer Multan to hold negotiations with tenants for resolving all issues pertaining to acquisition of land for Nawaz Sharif University and submit a report within four days.

He issued these instructions while presiding over a special meeting regarding solution of problems of tenants in the Committee Room of Board of Revenue, here today. Member National Assembly Nadeem Abbas Rabeera, Senior Member Board of Revenue Nadeem Ashraf, Secretary Livestock, Commissioner, DCO and Regional Police Officer Sahiwal, DPO Okara, DCO Khanewal, DCO Sargodha and representatives of tenants were present on the occasion.

The Minister directed the officers present in the meeting to make all out efforts to resolve the problems of tenants besides disposal of cases against them within the law. He directed RPO Sahiwal to submit a report after personally reviewing all matters. He said that the problems of tenants of one district are different from the other therefore all Commissioners and DCOs should submit their separate reports.

The Minister directed Commissioner Sahiwal to withdraw the orders regarding demolishment of the houses of the tenants of Arif Wala Muhammad Nagar Farm and submit a report within six days. The Minister stressed upon the representatives of tenants to display a positive attitude regarding solution of their problems and give up the policy of agitation.
