A delegation of Royal National Defense College of Jordan visits Darbar Hall, Civil Secretariat

A delegation of Royal National Defense College of Jordan visits Darbar Hall, Civil SecretariatLahore: Provincial Minister for Home, Col. (Retd.) Shuja Khanzada has said that there are vast opportunities of investment in the province and government is providing all out facilities to local and foreign investors. He said that China is making huge investment in the province and Kashghar to Gawdar economic corridor will bring prosperity and economic stability in Pakistan. He said that war against terrorism will continue till the elimination of last terrorist. He said that Punjab government is working under a comprehensive strategy for the elimination of terrorism. He said that two batches of Counter Terrorism Force have come into field by completing training.

He said this during a briefing to a 14-member delegation of Royal National Defense College of Jordan headed by Brig. Gen. Raziq Al-Sherman which is on a study tour to Pakistan at Darbar Hall, Civil Secretariat, here today.

Chief Secretary Khizar Hayat Gondal, Chairman Planning & Development, Secretaries Education, Health besides secretaries of different departments were also present on this occasion. The Provincial Home Minister said that war against terrorism has now become the war of Pakistan and will continue till the elimination of last terrorist. He said that government has moved towards right direction in the light of National Action Plan and terrorists and their facilitators will soon be brought to their logical end.

Col. (Retd.) Shuja Khanzada has said that there are terrorists in some NGOs and educational institutions and strict action will be taken against them after completing the process of collecting proofs. He said that after the restoration of execution sentence under national action plan, the rate of murder incidents has reduced 35 percent in the province. He said that implementation on 20-point national action plan is continuing in letter and spirit and political leadership and Army are on one platform in this regard.

Chief Secretary Punjab Khizar Hayat Gondal in his welcome address said that the exchange of delegations between both the countries will leave positive effects on diplomatic and mutual cooperation. He said that participation of Jordanian brethren in relief activities in the earthquake of 2005 in Pakistan is laudable which has promoted brotherhood between both the countries. He said that terrorism is poisonous killer for national economy and the dream of peace and strong economy cannot be materialized without overcoming it. A briefing was given about the steps and performance of education and health departments.

Head of delegation of Royal National Defense College Jordan Brig. Gen. Raziq Al-Sherman thanked Home Minister Col Retd. Shuja Khanzada and Chief Secretary Punjab and said that the relations between both the countries will further improve due to mutual visits of army and civil officers of Jordan and Pakistan and will provide an opportunity to benefit from the experiences of each others. He said that Punjab government is carrying out a unique work through provincial education policy and providing health facilities to the people. He said that Army Officers of Jordan have acquainted themselves with the correct situation of brother Islamic country Pakistan through this study tour. He further said that good governance is the dream of every government and Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif is making strenuous efforts for materializing it. Later head of Jordanian delegation and Home Minister exchanged shields.
