PTI to announce its candidates for LB elections within 48 hours

PTI to announce its candidates for LB elections within 48 hoursLahore: Tehrik-e-Insaf has completed candidates for Cantt. Town and formal announcement would be made within 48 hours. As many as more than one hundred applicants have been interviewed by district body of PTI while recommendations of town presidents & vice presidents have also been obtained to ascertain the popularity and other criteria for most winning persons.

Talking in this regard, district President PTI Abdul Aleem Khan told that instead of dictatorship, PTI has opted democratic process and from grass root level to district body remained in the loop for finalization of candidates of LB polls in cantonment areas. He told that we have given priority to the party workers who played an important role in the party activities especially long-march and shut down call and our main objective is to ensure victory for the party.

Abdul Aleem Khan informed that so far 80 per cent names have been  finalized for 20 seats of cantt town and on his directions Senior Vice President Shoaib Siddiqui has received written recommendation from town office bearers Awais Younas, Nasir Shahid Lodhi, Mazhar Husain Qureshi, Abid Ansari and Shahid Khan while Dr. Zarqa Taimur has also given his input in this regard.

Moreover, in Lahore PTI Office, informal meeting of district presidents from Punjab took place which was hosted by Abdul Aleem Khan. Presidents from Kasur, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Gujrat, Jhelum, Khushab, Mandi Baha Uddin,  Okara, Khanewal, R. Y. Khan, Chiniot, Lahore and Attok attended the meeting and discussed a number of issued including local bodies elections, present political situation, party organizational matters and issues relating to their respective districts. They also condemned the behavior of Punjab Government towards to farmers’ community and demanded the early solution of their genuine problems.
