IGP Mushtaq Sukhera rewarded the cops for killing the suspects

Lahore: Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera distributed appreciation letters and cash reward worth rupees 175000 among 5 police officers / officials at a simple ceremony held at Central Police Office, Lahore for discharging extra ordinary performance during duty at Defense Lahore, today.IGP Distributed Cash Reward and Certificates

CCPO Lahore, Amin Wains, DIG Headquarters Punjab, Farooq Mazhar, DIG Operations Lahore, Dr. Haider Ashraf, AIG Discipline, Dr. Inam Waheed, PSO to IGP, Tariq Rustam Chauhan and other officers of CPO were also present on this occasion.

While briefing about the outstanding performance of these police officers, the CCPO Lahore, Amin Wains and DIG Operations Lahore, Dr. Haider Ashraf told the IGP that today early in the morning a wireless massage was relayed that a car in a suspected condition was present at National Hospital Lahore. On receiving the information a team headed by SHO PS Defense-B, Ghulam Dastgir, including SI Muhammad Afzal, Constable Gulzar Ahmad, Constable Ishaq Masih and Driver Constable, Ali Nawaz reached at the spot. When suspected accused watched the police vehicle they started firing on police party with intention to kill them. In self defense police party returned firing due to which two suspected persons expired on the spot whereas the rest of two were arrested. The both killed accused belongs to Afghanistan whereas among arrested one belong to pishawer and the other from Afghanistan.

On this occasion, Dr. Haider Ashraf told that police is also investigating the link of these arrested accused with the banned outfits.

The officers / officials who got reward were included Inspector Ghulam Dastagir got 50,000, SI Mohammad Afzal 50,000, Const. Gulzar Ahmad 25,000, Const. Ishaq Masih 25,000 and Driver Const. Ali Nawaz got 25,000 cash reward.
