Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League -Q senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi has said that our project to construct Lahore-Sialkot Motorway was scrapped seven years ago after Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif had assumed power in Punjab but now Nawaz Sharif has remembered Expressway.
He said this while talking to a delegation of Pakistan Muslim League Sialkot which included leaders and workers.
He said the construction of motorway was scheduled to be completed five years ago which would have reduced journey time between Lahore to Sialkot from two and half hours to only 45 minutes, for this our govt had taken all steps, even funds were provided for land requisition which was retrieved by younger brother Shahbaz Sharif.
Ch Parvez Elahi said further that on the motorway two industrial estates were to be established with the cooperation of China besides two Poly-technical universities were also be set up with the assistance of Germany and Sweden.
