Lahore: Member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Core Committee and Former Governor of Punjab, Muhammad Sarwar said, “The investigation into rigging could have started some time ago if the Government had so desired. However better late then never, the formation of the judicial commission is a significant step in the process of democracy and is a victory for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’ standpoint.
Whilst at the Walk for Down’s Syndrome today in Lahore, Mr Sarwar said that it is of very important for the Federal and Provincial governments to take necessary steps for the physically challenged children of Pakistan. The former Governor also stated that it is very unfortunate that parties sitting in opposition preach continuously about upholding democracy and the rule of law however once they come into power, their promises and commitments are rarely implemented. Hence, instead of progressing, Pakistan has regressed in its Pakistan 68 years of life.
At an event held by the Auriga Group today in Lahore, Mr Sarwar said that agriculture is the back bone of this country’s economy, which is why in order to develop Pakistan, it is essential to promote the agriculture sector of the country. Pakistani farmers are deprived of the basic necessities needed to carry out successful agriculture activities. He said that PTI will take the views of agriculturists and small farmers on board so that policies are developed and implemented to address their issues.
