Lahore: The All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) on Friday asked the government to order reopening of CNG stations across Punjab after gas supply was resumed to industrial units.
Weather has normalised in Punjab which warrants reopening of CNG stations closed almost three months back, said Capt. (retd) Shuja Anwar, Central Chairman APCNGA.
In a statement issued here today, he said that CNG filling stations should be opened after revisiting rates so that it can continue operations.
He asked the SNGLP not to demand additional security from the owners of CNG stations and try to facilitate the industry.
The CNG station owners who have not opted for the LNG should be given preference in resolution of their problems, he demanded.
Shuja Anwar said that prices of natural gas should not be revised upward as it will trigger inflation across the country leaving many industries incompetitive in the international market.
He said that reopening of CNG stations will help millions to resums jobs.
