Lahore: On the direction of Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi, a PML delegation headed by Senior Vice-President Mian Munir visited General Hospital today and inquired about the health of victims of Youhanabad incident and presented them bouquets.
Talking to media after inquiring about health of the injured, Mian Munir said that Punjab was victim of terrorism because of inefficiency of the govt, hundreds of policemen were deployed for security of the rulers themselves but the people have been left helpless.
He said during tenure of Ch Parvez Elahi there was no instance of such worst treatment with the minorities nor there was any threat as such, not only people of all religions participated in their religious festivities but gifts were also presented, minorities community still regarded Ch Parvez Elahi as its benefactor.
Afterwards outside emergency of the hospital PML leaders strongly protested against non-provision of medical treatment to the injured persons and chanted loud slogans.
The PML delegation included former Provincial Minorities Minister Engineer Shehzad Elahi, MPA Khadeeja Farooqi, Syed Bilal Mustafa Sheerazi, Mian Abdul Sattar, Rana Riaz, Muhammad Omar Shaikh, Ashfaq Bhatti, Dr Nighat Agha, Amna Ulfat, Syeda Majida Zaidi, Mrs Hamid Rana, Tamkeen Aftab, Kanwal Nasim, Aqeel Shah and other PML leaders.
