Lahore: President of the National Party (NP) Senator Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo on Friday said that recent elections of the Senate will contribute to the improved political environment in Pakistan.
He said that all the winning candidates of the NP came out clean in the elections like they did in the earlier elections as we don’t believe in using money in the politics. Lauding the resolve of the government to root out terrorism, he said that military operation will not be fruitful unless political parties strive to change thinking of the masses regarding extremism.
Speaking at a reception in honour of the newly elected Senators of the NP, he said that masses condemn terrorism but not the terrorists while the voice of liberal forces has weakened.
Daish, another lethal ideology, will not be imported in Pakistan but extremists would embrace it posing new challenges if not tackled, he warned. He said that thinking of centre regarding Balochistan has changed which has resulted in positive change in the thinking of people of Balochistan.
He said that the NP has brought a pleasant change in the thinking and situation of Balochistan which will benefit tens of millions in the long run.
Never in the history, the province has seen such interest of the government in improving law and order, infrastructure, health and education, he said, adding that we would continue to strive to get our share from exploration projects as guaranteed in the 18th amendment to change the lives of marginalised.
Bizenjo said that women could not be brought into the mainstream to utilize their ability for the development of the country unless we empower women and revisit old custom and traditions.
Others who spoke on the occasion included newly elected Senator Mir Kabir, MPA Yasmin Lahri and Ayub Malik. They said that Chief Minister Balochistan Dr. Abdul Malik is turning no stone unturned to improve the life style of poor people.
Prominent Economist Kaiser Bengali said that Balochistan has become the first province in the history of Pakistan which has made and implemented a developmental plan without considering wishes of politicians which will ensure uniform progress.
Many people announced joining NP at the occasion.
