Guinness World Record holder Muhammad Munir trains young athletes

Munir, 31, said that Sports Board Punjab, under the leadership of Director General Usman Anwar, has been providing every kind of facilities to potential youngsters of the country to demonstrate their talent at international platform. “The dozens of Guinness Records and other record breaking performances in a short span of time are clear evidence that SBP is guiding the youth of the country in the right direction,” the wrestler added.

Of his wrestling passion, Munir, who established new Guinness World Record by making 1700 push-ups in 2012 Punjab Sports Festival, told that wrestling was his family game and his family had produced several world class wrestlers in the past.

To another query, Munir informed that he’s passing his expertise to young generation with full devotion. “The boys and girls from 7 to 15 years of age are being trained twice a day in the games of wrestling, running, boxing and kabaddi etc at Punjab Football Stadium,” he explained. Regarding his future plan, Munir told that these days he’s preparing to demonstrate his world record performances in Italy and USA under the banner of Pak Running Club USA.
