Secretary Health Punjab distributes eyeglasses among patients at Lidhar Hospital Bedian Road

Lahore: Health Department is implementing a reforms programme in the health sector on fast track to provide best treatment facilities to the people of remote areas at their doorstep.

It was stated by Secretary Health Punjab Jawad Rafique Malik while distributing 700 eyeglasses among patients at Lidhar Hospital Bedian Road, today.

Political Assistant to CM Talha Burki was also present. Talha Burki said that provision of free of cost medical facilities to the poor and deserving patients is the priority of the government and Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has provided billions of rupees for the purpose besides setting up health centers and hospitals in remote areas.

Member National Assembly Rana Mubashar was also present on the occasion. Principal Institute of Ophthalmology and Pro-Vice Chancellor King Edward Medical University informed that a free eye camp was organized from February 4 to 11 at Lidhar Hospital during which doctors of Mayo Hospital examined and treated 1100 eye patients while 20 eye operations were also carried out.
