Imran Khan should not contest senate election to honour his words: Hamza Shahbaz

Hamza Shahbaz addressing a press conferenceLahore: PML-N central leader MNA Hamza Shahbaz said that cancer is spreading speedily in the world and has become a big challenge for the governments and medical experts. He said that cancer ward of Children Hospital will be upgraded at a cost of Rs. 24 lakh and number of beds will be increased to 60 within next six months. He said that facility of bone marrow transplant and blood transfusion is being provided in the cancer ward. He said that service to the ailing humanity is a great source of earning the blessings of Allah Almighty and the persons and institutions engaged in saving the lives especially of cancer patients are benefactors of humanity. He said that government is utilizing all possible resources for providing medical facilities to the masses. Replying to questions of media men, Hamza Shahbaz said that Imran Khan had announced during sit-ins that parliament is no go area for him and he will never go to assemblies. But now Imran Khan is going to contest senate election which is strange, he added. He said that due to dual policies of Imran Khan, the families of martyrs of Army Public School strongly reacted. He said that people and media will hold such people accountable. He said that all political parties will have to display unity for winning the war against terrorism. He said that time has come that enemy should be given a strong reply. He said that there is no bigger challenge than purging the country of terrorism.MNA Hamza Shahbaz

Hamza Shahbaz said that the nation owes a lot to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the country. Referring to former Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, Hamza Shahbaz said that facts cannot be changed with mere statements.

Earlier , Hamza Shahbaz Sharif MNA visited cancer ward of Children Hospital on the eve of World Cancer Day. He visited every patient, enquired after him and also presented gifts. He asked from the parents and attendants of the children about the facilities. He directed Medical Superintendent Dr. Ahsan Waheed Rathore to ensure every possible facility to the children admitted to cancer ward. Member Punjab Assembly Tahia Noon was also present on the occasion.
