Transporters announce to reduce fares after reduction of petroluem prices

Lahore: Secretary Transport Shaukat Khan presided over a meeting of transport and goods transport associations to decrease fares as a result of reduction in prices of petroleum products.

Office-bearers of transporters associations announced unanimously to decrease fares from 5 to 7 percent for various routes in intra city transport fares, goods transporters 7 percent decrease in fares while a decrease of 5 paisa per kilometer in intercity non-AC transport.

The transporters assured to support government steps for providing facilities to the people and said that common man will be benefitted of reduction in the prices of petroleum products by the government.
