Lahore: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Chief Siraj-ul-Haq has demanded of the Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to immediately call meetings of Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) and all political and religious parties of the country over the publication of sacrilegious caricatures in western world and if he (prime minister) is failed to do so, then the Jamaat-e-Islami will play its due role in arranging meetings of Muslim countries against the said heinous act.
He expressed these views while addressing a ‘Shan-e-Mustafa Million March”, organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Chapter from Nipa Chowrangi to Hasan Square here on Sunday.
Large number of protestors including elderly men, women and children were also participated in the Million March.
The protestors raised placards and banners inscribed with anti-western and anti-blasphemous slogans.
The protestors also raised party flags and banners, posters inscribed with the slogans “we condemned the publication of sacrilegious caricatures in western media”, “Blasphemy is terrorism not freedom” and etc.
The protestors were seemed enthusiastic and passionate in the Shan-e-Mustafa Million March.
The leaders of political and religious parties including PML-N, PTI, JUP, JUI-S, JUI-F and people belonging to different walks of life including businessmen, lawyers, doctors, engineers and others were also present on the occasion.
On the occasion, Siraj-ul-Haq has announced that the Jamaat-e-Islami will fight with the western world which creating hatred through their nefarious designs.
“I have contacted the leaders of Islamic movements across the world in Malaysia, Iraq, Syria, Iran and Egypt and called for organizing protest demonstrations against the said heinous act of western world”, he added.
“Whenever, Jamaat-e-Islami and other religious parties protested against the publication of sacrilegious caricatures, why the MQM stand in favour of western world and demanded imposition of ban on Jamaat-e-Islami”, he questioned.
He appealed the people of Karachi to stand and continue their protest against the western world until the France and other European countries beg pardon over the publication of blasphemous sketches.
JI Chief warned the western world to refrain itself from such heinous acts otherwise ready to face dire consequences, as every Muslim will become Salahuddin Ayubi and Mehmood Ghaznavi.
“Nizam-e-Mustafa should be imposed in the country for better future of the country and becoming Pakistan “a real Islamic state”, he added.
He said that the progress of the country is being affected by the corrupt and crooked system.
Addressing the gathering, Central Naib Ameer JI Asadullah Bhutto said that millions of people through this Million March have proved that the Karachi is the city of ‘Ghulaman-e-Mustafa’.
He demanded of the Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to immediately call-off foreign ties with France and United States and expel their consul general from the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman saluted the people of Karachi in their participation in the Million March in large numbers, adding that the people have rejected those who forbid on protesting demonstrations on the said blasphemous act on the faith of western world.
Without taking name of anyone, Hafiz Naeem said that the people have well aware by those who carried out targeted killings, extortion and terrorism in Karachi.
He termed United States a “biggest terrorist state” in the world, which creating anarchy in Pakistan through their alleys for their vested interest.
He rejected the philosophy of western world and said that the Jamaat-e-Islami and people of Karachi have accepted the challenge of western world and will continue their struggle for imposition of Islamic laws in the world.
“We want to give peace and eliminating terrorism from the world, adding that the said movement will continue till the restoration of Islamic rules in the world”, he added.
PPP leader Najmi Alam said that the western and European countries on the name of freedom of media, adding that the entire Muslim Ummah has strongly condemned the said act of western media.
The leaders of PTI, JUP, JUI-S and President Karachi Bar Council Naeem Qureshi also spoke on the occasion.
