Punjab Government declares Rana Yaad Ali a national Hero

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Labour & Human Resource Raja Ashfaq Sarwar presented a shield to a brave citizen Athar Ali Yaad on behalf of Punjab government in recognition of his bravery. Athar Ali Yaad had risked his life and stopped an out of control trailer on motorway.

Addressing a function held in honor of a brave citizen Athar Ali Yaad arranged by Punjab government at a local restaurant in Gulberg, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said that Punjab government highly values the services of national heroes like Athar Ali who risked his life for others. He said that without caring own life for the sake of others in the society is the hallmark of brave people and such people are winning laurels for the country inside and abroad.

Talking to media on this occasion, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said that Athar Ali tried to stop an out of control trailer on a busiest road like motorway upto two miles has proved that Pakistani youth are very brave and capable and such people are pride for the country and highlighting its positive image in the world. He said that Athar Ali Yaad has saved a number of precious lives through his bravery. Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said that he will recommend federal and Punjab government to award Athar Ali Yaad highest civil award in recognition of his bravery.

Talking to journalists on the occasion, Athar Ali Yaad said that seeing an out of control trailer, he thought that it might happen a serious accident, therefore, despite stopping by his family, he took this step without caring his life and succeeded in preventing a serious accident. He thanked Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on giving him a shield. Wife of Athar Ali Yaad, children Arsh Yaad Ali, Asar Yaad Ali and prominent personalities from various walks of life were present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has appreciated the courage and bravery of a citizen Athar Ali Yaad who stopped an out of control trailer on motorway. He said that Athar Ali Yaad risked his life to prevent a serious accident. He said that the courage and bravery shown by Athar Ali Yaad is highly commendable.
