Fifty Hindu couples are going to tie the knot during the Combined Marriages Programme in Karachi

A pic of hindu marriage ceremonyLahore: Fifty Hindu couples from poor families are going to tie the knot during the Combined Marriages Programme, to be organised by Pakistan Hindu Council, at Y.M.C.A. Ground, Karachi on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 6:00 PM.

This was announced by Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, Patron-in-chief of Pakistan Hindu Council and Member National Assembly, in a press statement issued on Wednesday. The mass wedding ceremony will be opened to media and a large number of prominent personalities are invited to grace the occasion, he further said.

Dr. Ramesh elaborated that mass weddings were preferred for economic and social reasons across the globe, adding that here in our country, Pakistan Hindu Council takes pride to organize regularly on annual bases since 2008 when 20 couples got married, with the collaboration of other charitable groups as a form of public service.
