Education Reporters Association elects its office bearer for the year 2015-2016

Lahore: Education Reporters Association (ERA) elected its office bearer for the year 2015-2016 in its annual election on Saturday.

Rab Nawaz Khan from Roznama Jang was elected President while Hafiz Kashif Daoodi from Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) was elected as General Secretary. Mian Ali Afzal from Nawa-i-Waqt was elected as Senior Vice President, Sanaullah Nagra from Online Vice President, Deeba Mirza from Daily Pakistan Vice President (Women Wing), Rashid Manzoor from Nai Baat Joint Secretary, Mohsin Bilal from Aab Tak Information Secretary, Usman-e-Ghani from Daily Saadat Secretary Coordination and Atif Pervaiz from News One was elected as Secretary Finance.Atif Pervaiz

Mazhar Iqbal from ARY News will serve as Chairman while Yousaf Abbasi from Daily Express will sever as Vice Chairman.

Naseem Qureshi, Chairman Election Committee, outgoing president Adnan Lodhi, outgoing general secretary Ali Usman and Umar Khalil served as Election Commissioners.

A Core Committee headed by Nasim Qureshi and comprising of Umar Khalil, Adnan Lodhi, Ali Usman will serve as a watchdog of the association, it was decided.

President Rab Nawaz Khan and General Secretary Hafiz Kashif Doodi said they would work for the betterment of education sector by pointing out the flaws in the education system. They were congratulated by the other members.

Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has congratulated newly elected office bearers of Education Reporters Association including President Rab Nawaz, General Secretary Kashif Dawoodi Chairman Mazhar Iqbal, Vice Chairman Yousaf Abbasi, Chief Patron Nasim Qureshi,  Senior Vice President Mian Ali Afzal, Vice President Sanaullah Nagra, Vice President (Women) Deeba Mirza, , Joint Secretary Rashid Manzoor, Information Secretary Mohsin Bilal, Finance Secretary Atif Pervaiz.
