Business community lauds determination of PM and COAS to uproot terrorism

Islamabad: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and COAS Gen. Raheel Sharif are bailing out country from the worst crisis of its history which has awakened hopes of the masses and business community, a business leader said Thursday.

The resolve of the PM, COAS, top judiciary and leaders of the major political parties has a positive impact of the sentiments of the business community, said SM Muneer, Chairman of TDAP and Patron-in-Chief of United Business Group.

Speaking to the business community, he said that we fully back the decision to establish military courts and the decision of the Chief Justice to give preference to the terrorism related cases.

The veteran business leader said that tough decisions have boosted the rating of PM and COAS adding that masses will never forget those who remained steadfast and those who demonstrated laxity at this critical juncture.

SM Muneer said that US has termed capital punishments as internal matter of Pakistan while EU has expressed reservations which should be discounted as it is a matter of survival. Lauding the improving political and military ties between Pakistani and Afghan leadership he said that the Kabul seems serious to crush common enemy which will help uproot terror from Pakistan and Afghanistan resulting in rapid development of the entire region. He demanded immediate steps to normalise situation in Karachi and Balochistan and take clerics of all school of thoughts on board to ensure religious harmony.
