MQM DELEGATION MEETS SHAHBAZ SHARIF

CM PUNJAB-2Lahore: A 4-member delegation led by president MQM Punjab Mian Atiq met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, here today. The delegation also included Member National Assembly of MQM Sajid Ahmed, Member Markazi Rabita Committee Gul Faraz Khattak and zonal head of North Punjab Atiq Abbasi.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the murder of two district office-bearers of MQM in Chiniot and Sialkot is tragic and he is deeply grieved over these incidents. He said that he had a talk with Governor Sindh Ishrat-ul-Abad on telephone last night and assured him that the culprits will be arrested as soon as possible. He said that Punjab government expresses its sympathies and condolences to MQM leadership over the murder of two district office-bearers in Chiniot and Sialkot and assure that the murderers will be arrested at the earliest and brought to justice. The Chief Minister issued instructions to police authorities that the arrest of the accused involved in the incidents should be ensured as soon as possible. He also issued directions to form a joint team headed by Provincial Home Minister Col. (R) Shuja Khanzada in this regard. The committee will comprise MQM office-bearers, public representatives, heirs of the deceased and police officers of the concerned districts and ensure arrest of the criminals involved as soon as possible.

Shahbaz Sharif also announced financial assistance of Rs. 10 lakh for the heirs of the deceased Asghar Abbas.

President MQM Punjab Mian Atiq thanked the Chief Minister for taking personal interest in the cases. Provincial Home Minister Col. (R) Shuja Khanzada, Member National Assembly Ghulam Muhammad Lali, Members Provincial Assembly Rana Sanaullah, Mansha Ullah Butt, Imtiaz Ahmed Lali, Saqlain Anwar Sipra and Secretary Home were also present on the occasion.
