Government has failed to protect lives and property of the citizen in the city: Spokesman Punjab Government

Lahore: Spokesman Punjab government and Member Provincial Assembly Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri has said that workers of fascist organization PTI led by Imran Khan destroyed peaceful atmosphere of Lahore and a few hundred miscreants tried to usurp the basic rights of one crore 20 lakh citizens of the city. He said that Lahorites by totally rejecting the violent call of PTI, proved that Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif are their real leaders. He said that the apology of Imran Khan to the nation is nothing except hypocrisy.

He expressed these views while addressing a crowded press conference here today. Zaeem Qadri questioned whether Imran Khan will provide bread to the children of those labourers who he deprived of their livelihood. He said that PTI’s violent workers stopped 219 ambulances due to which condition of a number of patients became serious and three persons died due to non-provision of medical treatment on time. He said that PTI goondas tortured citizens and traders at every place. He said that old tyres were distributed among PTI workers from the house of Imran Khan last night for burning on roads. He said that PTI goondas ruthlessly tortured children, women and elderly persons at seven places including Lalak Chowk.

Zaeem Qadri said that PTI goondas looted eatables from breakfast shops and supplied to their companions at Chairing Cross. He said that Lahorites have rejected PTI politics by ignoring its call and 20 big markets of Lahore remained open. He said that Ijaz Chaudhry and Aleem Khan are mastermind of this terrorism.

Zaeem Qadri said that government will take serious action over the violence against people, traders and journalists by terrorists. He said that deterrent punishment will be awarded to all miscreants in the light of footage. He said that High Court should take action under contempt of court against Imran Khan for violation of Section 144 at Mall Road. He said that despite unconditional offer of talks by government, Imran Khan set worst example of stubbornness.

Zaeem Qadri said that one night earlier PTI goondas threatened Vice Chancellors of universities on phone to keep their institutions closed but despite it, the ratio of attendance in Government College University, Punjab University, Lahore College for Women University and Kinnaird College University remained more than 90 percent. He said that PTI’s violent workers threatened male and female students and their parents. He said that “education-friendly” attitude of Imran Khan can be well judged from these incidents.

Zaeem Qadri said that media workers were harassed at 13 places in the city. He warned that Imran Khan should know that media is not his personal property and his goondas cannot get telecast statements of their own choice forcibly. He said that elderly person, children and women were stopped at entry and exit points of the city and government institutions provided them meal. He said that in compliance of the orders of the leadership, lakhs of PML-N workers remained in their homes and demonstrated democratic attitude. He said that Imran Khan should not consider the positive attitude of the government as weakness of the state and should refrain from provoking his workers.

Zaeem Qadri said that one night earlier PTI had assured that it will stage protest at 18 places but it did not honor its commitment and through terrorism at 40 places, usurped fundamental rights of one crore and 20 lakh citizens. He said that PTI is not a political but a terrorist organization. Replying to a question, Zaeem Qadri said that police have arrested some persons of both parties after a quarrel between shopkeepers and PTI’s violent workers at Chungi Amarsidhu and action will be taken against them after registering FIR.

Zaeem Qadri said that PTI goondas broke screen worth Rs. 3.5 lakh of a vehicle by pelting stones on metro bus and exposed its violent attitude by demonstrating violence. He said that despite PTI terrorism, PML-N will demonstrate tolerance and democratic attitude. He said that after detailed decision of Supreme Court, Imran Khan should leave all his activities and play his role according to the mandate in the parliament.
