Promotion of every officer is made conditional with performance:Dr Ahmad Javed Qazi

Lahore: In accordance with the vision and guideline of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, the process of reorganization of Punjab Disaster Management Authority on modern and scientific lines has been completed and five directorates have also been established in PDMA.

The promotion of every officer and official of PDMA has been made conditional with performance. He said that a latest warehouse will be set up so that relief items could be provided to the affectees timely in any emergent situation.

Director General Punjab Disaster Management Authority Dr. Ahmad Javed Qazi disclosed this while addressing the departmental meeting. Directors of various departments Nawaz Ahmad Khan, Dr. Shahid Zaman, Sajjad Ahmad, Hameed Ullah, Nisar Ahmad, Zafar Shamsi and other officers were present on the occasion.

Director General said that PDMA has been made a role model of the province which will be further recognized at international level. He said that Directorate Admin & Finance, Directorate Coordination & Response, Directorate Operation & Implementation, Directorate Disaster & Risk Reduction and Directorate Management & Information System will work in their jurisdiction so that they will discharge their responsibilities regarding immediate planning, early determination of any calamity and strategy to cope with it, strategy for issuing of GIS mapping, developing software, preparation of documentary, mutual coordination with public and private institutions and social organizations and evolving a strategy with their consultation, informing the people about natural calamities well before time and survey.

DG said that he himself will supervise these departments directly and a strategy of every kind will be evolved through mutual consultation of SMBR
