A plan to be chalked out for district disaster management committees capacity building: Dr Ahmad Javed Qazi

Lahore: Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Dr Ahmad Javaid Qazi has said that a plan is being chalked out for the capacity building of district disaster management committees set up at provincial and district level for coping with any natural calamity or flood in future.

He expressed these views while addressing a departmental meeting. Dr Ahmad Javaid Qazi said that for further improvement and increasing the performance of PDMA, a future plan is being evolved in consultation with the proposals and suggestions of all the officers so that affectees of floods or any other calamity could be provided timely relief and assistance.

He said that all warehouses and godowns of PDMA are being upgraded for this purpose. He said that a plan is also being devised for the protection of innocent children during flood or any other calamity. He said that various plans are also being evolved with regard to child labour.
