Punjab University Vice Chancellor inaugurates newly-constructed Faculty Apartments

PULahore: Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has inaugurated newly-constructed Faculty Apartments Block-B, consisting of 12 apartments, for teachers at New Campus Colony on Monday.

Dean Faculty of Law Prof Dr Shazia Naureen Qureshi, PU Registrar Prof Dr Liaqat Ali, Resident Officer-I Prof Dr Sajid Rashid Ahmed, members of Syndicate Prof Dr Amir Ejaz and Associate Professor Dr Hafiz Muhammad Rafique, Director Planning and Development Tariq Majeed Qureshi, Acting Treasurer Rao Sharif, a large number of heads of various department and young teachers were present on the occasion.

Talking to the participants, Dr Mujahid Kamran said that the administration had decided to construct faculty apartments to resolve residential issues of teachers because of increase in their number. He instructed officials concerned to construct 12 more faculty apartments for teachers.

Previously, Block A of 12 faculty apartments were constructed and handed over to teachers. The teachers thanked Dr Mujahid Kamran for resolving long-standing issues of faculty members. They said that the administration had adopted a wise policy for resolving residential problems of PU teachers.

Each apartment of the three-storey building consists of 1700 squar feet covered area, two luxurious bed rooms attached bath, wide kitchen, airy drawing room and a laundry area.
