Kabaddi World Cup to kick off on 6th

Lahore: The 5th Kabaddi World Cup 2014 is scheduled to be held in different cities of India from December 6 to 20, 2014. The organizers, on Monday, have announced the schedule and names of participating teams in the men’s and women events.

According to information made available here, as many as 11 teams – India, Pakistan, Argentina, USA, UK, Scotland, Canada, Sierra Leon, Spain, Mexico and Denmark will feature in the men’s Kabaddi World Cup competition. The women Kabaddi World Cup event will have teams from India, Pakistan, New Zealand, UK, Malaysia, Denmark and Mexico.

The opening ceremony of the Kabaddi World Cup will be organized in Jalandhar on December 6 whereas the closing ceremony and Men’s final will be held on December 20. The semifinal matches of men and women Kabaddi World Cup will be held onDecember 18 at Dirba, Sangrur. The women final and 3rd/4th position matches will be played at Barnala on December 19.

India’s other cities like Ludhiana, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, Patiala, Jalalabad, Sangrur, Hoshiarpur, Gurdaspur, Rupnagar and Moga have also been selected for kabaddi matches of the grand event.
