Lahore: As a result of further reduction in the prices of petroleum products by federal government, fares of goods and public transport have been further reduced. A reduction of eight percent has been made in the fares of goods transport while those of AC transport have been reduced by seven percent and non-AC public transport seven paisa per kilometer.
These decisions will be implemented immediately throughout the province. A government team led by Provincial Minister for Food Bilal Yasin held successful negotiations with different transporters at Transport House. Bilal Yasin said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has won the hearts of the people by making further reduction in the prices of petroleum products. He said that he is a democratic leader and service to the people is pivot of his politics. Expressing complete confidence in the government, transporters announced to reduce fares and said that they will continue to serve the masses.
Meanwhile,chairman Lahore Transport Company Khawaja Ahmad Hissan has announced to reduced fares to 15 percent as a result of reduction in petroleum prices.
