Independent candidate Inamullah Khan Niazi wins the contest of PP-48 Bhakar

Inamullah NiaziLahore: Independent candidate Inamullah Khan Niazi has won the by elections of PP-48 Bhakar in a nail biting competition with another independent candidate Ahmad Nawaz Nowani.

According to the unofficial results of 144 polling stations ,Inamullah Niazi took 44622 whereas his competitor Ahmad Nawaz Nowani bagged 44074 votes,PAT candidate Nazar Abbas Kahawar could get 7631 votes.

Inamullah Khan Niazi was contesting on the seat of his deceased brother PML-N MPA Najeebullah Khan Niazi with the undeclared support of PML-N.

Inamullah Khan Niazi had remained PML-N Punjab’s senior Vice President and after having differences with leadership joined his cousin Imran Khan’s PTI and was nominated PTI Punjab’s vice president . He had conflict with party chairman Imran Khan who gave excessive powers for making decisions in home district Mianwali to Ayla Malik before general elections 2013 and resultantly he had to quit the party.Ayla Malik

The political difference among cousins even affected their family and social contacts to the extent that Imran Khan did not  join the funeral prayer of his younger brother like cousin Najeebullah Khan Niazi.Though PTI did not openly supported the other candidate Ahmad Nawaz Nowani but its silent support was visible for the political circles of the town.
