Kashmir issue could not be solved by a handshake with Modi:Hafiz Muhammad Idrees

Hafiz IdreesLahore: Jamaat e Islami’s deputy chief, Hafiz Muhammad Idrees, has said that the Kashmir issue could not be solved by a handshake with Modi and instead, Pakistan would have to arouse world opinion in this respect and also stand at the back of the Kashmiri people.

Addressing the Friday congregation at Mansoora mosque, he said if Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was under the impression that Narindera Modi’s hatred for Islam and the Muslims would be reduced by a handshake, he was gravely mistaken.

Hafiz Muhammad Idrees termed the European unions’ demand for doing away with the Blasphemy law enacted for the safeguard the sanctity of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), as an open interference in the internal affairs of this country and  a  challenge for the religious sentiments of the Muslim masses. He clarified that the Blasphemy law was not only for the non-Muslims but also for the Muslims.

The JI deputy chief said that the success of the JI Ijtema at the Minar e Pakistan was simply a divine blessing. He said that all sections of the society had appreciated the dedication and discipline of the JI workers and the participants besides the security arrangement at the Ijtema. He said the JI was simply a movement for establishing the supremacy of Deen in the country. He believed that  the success of the Ijtema had brought the goal closer. He said that the JI never invited the masses to any leader or party, it simply invited them to Allah’s Deen. Therefore, Allah would not let their efforts go waste.
