Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that sit-ins and protest politics has caused a huge loss to the national economy and the elements engaged in such activities have proved their enmity to the country by creating hurdles in the process of national development and prosperity. He said that personal interest has no importance compared to the national interest and politics of stubbornness is not in the interest of the nation. He said that people have become disgusted with negative attitude of the elements engaged in the politics of anarchy.
He was talking to a leader of Muslim League-N Baluchistan and former Senator Nawabzada Mir Haji Lashkari Raisani who met him, here today. The Chief Minister said that a grave injustice has been done to the country through sit-ins and the elements involved in such activities should review their negative attitude. He said that there is no room for politics of sit-ins or chaos in the present situation as the country is facing a number of challenges and it is the time to move forward with unity. He said that people have given a five year’s mandate to Pakistan Muslim League-N government and it is serving the masses round the clock for resolving their problems.
The Chief Minister further said that the aim of progress and prosperity will be achieved under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
