Cultural show for participants of Physics conference

PHYS-CONFLahore: A cultural show was held at the Government College University, Lahore for the participants of the international conference on “Physics and Contemporary Needs”. Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman hosted at the cultural show especially for the foreign delegates who came from China, UK, Hong Kong, Germany and Brazil to participate in the three-day conference.  University of Engineering and Technology Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zubair A. Khan, Virtual University VC Prof Dr Naveed Malik, University of Education VC Prof Dr Faiz-ul-Hassan and conference chairman Prof Dr Muhammad Zakria Butt also attended the cultural evening comprised of regional dance and music performances. The foreign delegates also enjoyed the Urdu and Punjabi songs.

Vice Chancellor Prof Rahman said that GCU always held a dinner and cultural show at the concluding day of the conference to provide their students and faculty members a chance to informally interact with eminent scientists, adding that such interactions led to long term collaborations. The Vice Chancellor also introduced GCU Nazir Ahmed Music Society Incharge Tariq Khan Frani to the conference participants, saying he had been teaching music to their students as co-curricular activity for the last five decades. He said that the team GCU had been winning the All Pakistan Music Conference for the last many years consecutively.
