MPDD holds a 2-day training workshop regarding Punjab Transparency and Right to Information Act

Lahore: Management and Professional Development Department held a 2-day training workshop regarding Punjab Transparency and Right to Information Act. Eighteen officers from different departments of Punjab government attended workshop.

The workshop was held at the Lahore Headquarter of MPDD during which, Information Commissioner Punjab Mukhtar Ahmed Ali provided training to the participants about the ideology, need and practicability of Right to Information Act. DIG Ahmed Mubarik Ahmed provided detailed information about showing best performance and filing early reply to the applications of Right to Information Act.

Director Centre for Peace and Development Initiatives Zahid Abdullah imparted training to the participants about various dimensions of Punjab Transparency and Right to Information Act. Chief Information Commissioner Mazhar Hussain provided detailed information about the action on objections and applications submitted by the people.

It may be mentioned that it was the fourth training workshop about   Punjab Transparency and Right to Information Act held under MPDD. It wants to organize a total of fourteen workshops in which senior officers of all departments of Punjab government will be imparted detailed training about this Act so that they could perform their duties according to law in this regard.
