Chinese President decided not to come to Pakistan due to sit-in: Shahbaz Sharif

CM PUNJAB shahbaz sharifLahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif while addressing a function with regard to payment of second installment of financial assistance to flood affectees in Tehsil Bhawana, Chiniot today strongly condemned the protest politics of Imran Khan, Tehrik-i-Insaf and Tahir-ul-Qadri and described it as against national interests.

The Chief Minister said that he had recently attended an international conference in China which was attended by leaders from all over the world. He said that unity and solidarity displayed by Chinese leadership and the people on this big event was commendable and exemplary. He said that Chinese leaders with the cooperation of people changed Beijing which was facing worst environmental pollution into a neat and clean city. He said that the factories of the city were closed while the transport on roads was reduced by 25 percent to show the distinguished guests how Chinese nation welcomes its guests.

On the other hand, Shahbaz Sharif said that due to Imran Khan and his Tehrik-i-Insaf, such a negative impression was given that the Chinese President and other international leaders decided not to come to Pakistan. He said that protesting elements tarnished the image of Pakistan for their personal interests and polluted Islamabad.
