National women kabaddi probables practiced for Kabaddi World Cup National women kabaddi probables practiced for Kabaddi World CupLahore : Pakistan ‘A’ women Kabaddi team demonstrated excellent fight-back in a practice kabaddi match at Punjab Stadium here on Monday. The practice match was played among the national women kabaddi probables during the training camp. The camp is being organized for the preparation of Kabaddi World Cup 2014 on the instructions of Director General Sports Punjab Usman Anwar.

Pakistan ‘A’ women kabaddi team were down by 21-33 till the 3rd quarter against Pakistan ‘B’ but in the last segment of the game, they showed great recovery through their skipper Madeeha Latif and Neelum Riaz and scripted a nail-biting 40-38 victory. The above-mentioned in-form duo earned 10 points each for their team.

Apart from skipper Madeeha and Neelum, Razia Sultana, Umme Zohra, Asma Ikram and Twinkle also offered splendid performance for the triumphant team. For Pakistan ‘B’, Sadia Khalil, Sadia Abdul Khaliq, Sumaira Zahoor, Saira Bano, Razia Perveen, Saira Shah and Syeda Farida Khanum remained the prominent performers.

Madeeha Latif, later told the media that the practice match was arranged to assess the match fitness and form of national women kabaddi players. “We will continue to test different combinations till the mega event so that we can formulate a suitable and effective outfit for the Women Kabaddi World Cup being staged in India next month.
